What the numbers mean
Windows sold in Europe are tested to the same standards. This is what the classes mean for a home on the coast.
Arched and custom shapes
Round, arched, triangular and trapezoid windows and doors, made to the exact size of the opening.

Arches
Classic, English, semicircular, Moorish and pointed arches — at home in historic houses and new villas alike.

Round, triangular and trapezoid
Shaped windows that follow the architecture of the house, in white or a laminated finish.
Opening types
Tilt and turn
Tilts in at the top for safe ventilation, or swings fully open.
Casement
Opens inwards on side hinges, like a door.
Sliding
Panels slide past each other — no space needed to open.
Tilt and slide
Tilts in for airing, or moves out and slides aside — for terrace doors.
Glass options
In southern Spain the sun is the main factor. We help you choose the right glass for each side of the house.
- Double glazing
- Two panes with an air or gas gap for insulation against heat and cold.
- Low-emissivity
- An invisible coating that keeps warmth inside in winter.
- Solar control
- Reduces the heat coming in through sunny windows while keeping rooms bright.
- Laminated safety
- Glass bonded to a film that holds it together if it breaks.
- Acoustic
- Laminated glass designed to reduce traffic and street noise.
- Toughened safety
- Heat-treated glass that breaks into small, blunt pieces.
Colours and finishes
White, or a wood-grain or dark finish laminated onto the PVC — it never needs repainting.

WDS 76 = both WDS 76 MD and AD. Ultra 72 finishes can be on the outside only or on both sides. For the VEKA, Ultra 60 and sliding systems, ask us for the current colour range.
PVC doors and balcony doors
WDS 76 AD and Ultra 72 also make doors, in the same profiles and finishes as your windows. A warm threshold cuts heat loss at floor level, and a windstop brush keeps out draughts.
- Inward- or outward-opening doors (WDS 76 AD)
- Entrance doors with steel reinforcement up to 2 mm and Winkhaus or Axor hardware (Ultra 72)
- Warm threshold, or a threshold with aluminium trim against wear
- Glazed, or with insulated panels
- Frame heat transfer Uf 1.3 W/m²K (WDS 76 AD) / 1.5 W/m²K (Ultra 72)

Do you remove the old windows?
Yes. Removing your old windows, installing the new ones and cleaning up afterwards are part of the job. Your detailed quote lists exactly what's included.
PVC or aluminium: which is better on the coast?
Both work well on the coast. PVC generally insulates better and needs very little maintenance. Aluminium with thermal break allows slimmer frames and larger panes, which suits big openings and a modern look.
At the free survey we look at your home, its orientation and your budget, and recommend the right option.
What is solar control glass and do I need it?
Solar control glass has a coating that reduces the heat coming in through the glass while still letting light through. On south- and west-facing windows in southern Spain it can make rooms noticeably more comfortable in summer. It can be combined with low-emissivity glass in the same double-glazed unit.
Do I need a permit to replace my windows?
It depends on your town and your building. Changing the look of the facade — colour, material or how the window is divided — often needs approval from the community of owners, and some town halls require a notification or licence for this kind of work.
We'll advise you during the survey, but the final responsibility for permits lies with the owner.
Why are there no window prices online?
Every window is different: size, opening type, glass and profile all change the price. After a free survey and measurement we send you a detailed written quote for each opening.
Can you fit fly screens at the same time?
Yes. If you're replacing windows, we can measure for plissé fly screens in the same visit and install everything together.
