How it works

Inside a plissé fly screen

A pleated mesh in a slim aluminium frame that folds away when you open it.

  • Pleated mesh

The mesh folds like an accordion as it opens, so the screen takes almost no space and looks tidy.

  • Aluminium frame

Strong aluminium profiles with a durable coating, built for everyday use.

  • Smooth, quiet glide

A guide system keeps the mesh running evenly without skewing, so one movement opens or closes it, even on wide openings.

  • Made to measure

Every screen is made to the size of your opening, so it fits windows, doors and sliding systems.

Made for Spain

Built for Spanish homes and the Spanish sun

Big sliding doors, terraces and hot evenings: exactly where a plissé screen makes sense.

  • Fresh air, no insects

Leave doors and windows open on hot days and summer evenings without letting mosquitoes in.

  • Terraces and wide openings

Covers large sliding doors and panoramic windows completely, so you can use the terrace in the evening.

  • Sun and sea air

The aluminium profiles and mesh are designed for strong sun, high temperatures, humidity and coastal air.

  • A minimal look

The slim profile suits aluminium frames and large glazing, and almost disappears when the screen is open.

Questions about fly screens

Do prices include VAT and installation?

Prices on this website are approximate and include 21% VAT. We confirm your final price in writing after the free measurement visit.

Coloured profiles cost a little more than white; the quote builder includes it as soon as you choose the colour.

Does it withstand the levante wind?

Our plissé screens withstand wind up to 28 km/h. When it blows harder — a strong levante, for example — fold them open, as with any fly screen.

Tiger mosquito: does the mesh stop it?

Yes. The tiger mosquito is small, but it cannot get through standard fly-screen mesh. What matters most is that the screen closes without gaps — which is why we measure every opening ourselves.

How long does it take?

Production takes 2–3 working days after you accept the quote, in the standard colours (white, anthracite grey or brown). Other RAL colours take about 10 days longer.

Installation is usually done within 7 days of your order.

What is a plissé fly screen?

A plissé (pleated) fly screen is a mesh folded like an accordion that slides open and closed along a slim guide rail. There is no spring, so it doesn't snap back, and when it's open it folds into a narrow side profile.

Is there a warranty?

Yes — our fly screens come with a 2-year warranty.

Which colours are available?

Our standard profile colours are white (RAL 9016), anthracite grey (RAL 7016) and brown (RAL 8016).

Any other RAL colour can be made to order, so the screen matches your window frames. It takes about 10 days longer to make.

Coloured profiles cost a little more than white; the calculator adds it when you choose the colour.

How do I clean them?

Use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment on the mesh, and a damp cloth on the profiles.

Do you need to drill into my frames?

The profiles are fixed inside or onto the opening with a few screws. We agree the fixing method with you during the free measurement.
